Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife administers more than 100 protected areas throughout Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. Our parks include two World Heritage sites: the spectacular uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park, with its magnificent mountains, scenery and superb San rock-art sites, and the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, encompassing an astonishing array of pristine waterways and wetlands, magnificent sandveld forests and the broad sweep of sandy beaches and spectacular coral reefs. The wildlife reserves of Zululand and Maputaland include the "Big 5" and are home to an extraordinary array of wildlife and birds, including the largest protected populations of white and black rhino to be found anywhere in Africa.

Game Reserves

Hluhluwe The Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park is the only park under formal conservation in Kwa-zulu Natal where the Big Five occur. This is the oldest game park in Africa.

Ithala A reserve of scenic beauty, award-winning accommodation and a wide array of wildlife species, including 4 of the Big 5: rhino, buffalo, leopard and elephant.

Mkhuze Astonishingly diverse natural habitats plus astounding birdlife and wildlife combine to make this a memorable game and bird viewing destination.

Ndumo Situated near Tembe in northern KZN, Ndumo is best known for its magnificent bird life, with beautiful pans, wetlands, savannah and forests.

Tembe This remote park on the border of Mozambique, has some of the largest elephant in Africa.
